The way that Rejuvapen works are it creates precisely-spaced invisible micro-perforations at the top-most skin layers. Each micro-perforation takes place from tiny needles on the Rejuvapen that are 0.2mm to 2.5mm long.
Once the skin gets micro-perforated, the body’s natural repair mechanism starts producing collagen and elastin. As a result, the skin repairs scar damage and has a healthy pink glow. Microneedling also diminishes fine lines that typically appear as part of the aging process.
When you have a microneedling treatment at Inspired Med Spa, you must look after your skin while it repairs itself. For the first 24 hours after treatment, you’ll notice some redness on your skin. Some clients may even have redness that appears for up to four days.
During the first 48 hours after the procedure, you should only wash your face with tepid water and gently pat it dry with a soft towel without rubbing the area. You must always clean your hands to avoid infecting your face if you touch it.
If you wear makeup, avoid doing so for the first 24 hours following your treatment. You can expect to see the results of your microneedling treatment between six to eight weeks, with the full effect visible between three to six months after your procedure.
