How Is Dermaplaning Performed?
Our fully-trained cosmetic experts perform dermaplaning as a 30-minute outpatient treatment.
Dermaplaning is performed by gently exfoliating your facial skin using a medical blade that scrapes away dead skin cells at a 45-degree angle. It’s a skin resurfacing procedure that removes the top-most layers of skin and peach fuzz or “Vellus hair.”
It’s a safe cosmetic procedure that works well on all adults, irrespective of skin type and tone, and produces more youthful, smoother, and brighter skin.
Benefits of Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning is a cosmetic skin resurfacing technique that offers many benefits. For example, it gently removes any facial debris and dead skin cells that can cause your skin to look dull or have an uneven texture.
It’s also an effective method of removing fine facial hair. The removal of this peach fuzz, or Vellus hair, can make the application of makeup smoother and easier. The result of dermaplaning is facial skin that looks more youthful, tighter, and has a uniform look and feel.
Dermaplaning sessions only take around 20 to 30 minutes to perform, and it’s a treatment that shows the complete results after a few days.
